Meet Barrett
Barrett is a writer, connector, and lifelong learner with a passion for exploring the intersection of community, psychology, history, and theology.
After graduating with a degree in economics from Samford University, Barrett spent the larger portion of the following decade in inner-city Birmingham where he lived in proximate house church community—working, resting, playing, and serving together.
Barrett currently lives in a refugee resettlement neighborhood in East Atlanta with his wife, Samantha, and their two sons. Barrett works as the head of marketing for a mental health software company while Samantha is a psychotherapist for a local private practice.
Their heart is to encounter and embody the spirit of proximate ekklesia in their day-to-day life, walking with a particular people, in a particular place, sharing a common purpose, primarily among the poor and marginalized.
